NAWALPUR, Sept 24: Five persons died when a truck collided head-on with a car at Kawasoti municipality-8, Kharkatta of Narayanghat-Butwal section along the Mahendra Highway at around 10:15 pm on Monday.
According to District Police Office, Nawalpur, the truck (Lu 1 Kha 8532) heading to the east collided with the car (Ba 21 Cha 6409) coming from the opposite direction.

Of deceased, only three have been identified as Purna Bahadur Bika aka Dipak, aged 35, of Devchuli-1, Keureni, Nawalparasi; Dil Bahadur Dhenga of Devchiuli-5, and Suraj Rana Magar of Kailali.
Two others have yet to be identified, according to police.
The five breathed their last while they were being rushed to Chitwan for treatment.
