KATHMANDU, April 21: The government is going to create procedures to make vehicles with green number plates (tourist vehicles) more tourist-friendly.
According to the Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Sudan Kirati, the ministry has formed a procedure drafting committee under the coordination of the head of the Tourism Division at the ministry. The concept of the ministry is to manage tourist vehicles by creating Tourist Vehicle Operation and Management Procedure 2080.

In the committee, Director of the Department of Transport Management, Head of Transport Management Office Small-Large Vehicles, Ekantakuna, Kathmandu, Superintendent of Police, Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, Kathmandu, Director of Nepal Tourism Board are to be the members.
Similarly, Director of Tribhuvan International Airport, President of Nepal Tourist Transport Business Association, President of Tourist Bus Association of Nepal, Director of Department of Tourism, President of Airport Air Passenger Transport Services Limited will also be members of the committee. The Deputy Secretary of the Tourism Promotion Branch of the Ministry of Tourism will hold the role of Member Secretary.
