KATHMANDU, July 24: Veteran tourism entrepreneur Tek Chandra Pokharel passed away in Kathmandu on Monday morning. Pokharel, 84, breathed his last at Om hospital, Chabahil. Issuing a statement on Monday, Nepal Association of Tour Operators has expressed grief on Pokharel’s demise. Pokharel was with the Nepali tourism industry for more than 50 years. He also served as the Honorary Consul of Mexico in Nepal. Likewise, he was the Chairman of Shangrila Tours Pvt Ltd.
