Three arrested for sending Nepalis abroad as Bhutanese refugees

KATHMANDU, March 27: Three people have been arrested on the charge of sending Nepalis abroad in the guise of Bhutanese refugees. The Valley Crime Division has arrested Keshav Dulal, Sanu Bhandari and Tek Gurung for the offense.

KATHMANDU, March 27: Three people have been arrested on the charge of sending Nepalis abroad in the guise of Bhutanese refugees. The Valley Crime Division has arrested Keshav Dulal, Sanu Bhandari and Tek Gurung for the offense.

According to sources at the Crime Division, they had sent 81 people abroad illegally in the last 3 to 4 years. According to police officials, investigation revealed that the trio charged Nepali citizens between Rs 2.5 to Rs 3 million to send them abroad with Bhutanese refugee papers.
