KATHMANDU, May 17: Nepal's COVID-19 tally has reached 291 with ten new cases today morning.

According to Ministry of Health and Population, ten males (aged 18, 32, 36, 39, 39, 42, 48, 28, 30 and 33) from Rautahat district were diagnosed with coronavirus. "All of them are normal and undergoing treatment," the ministry stated.


Nepal reported the first coronavirus death on Saturday evening. A 29-year-old female from Sindhupalchowk died of coronavirus on Thursday while being taken to Dhulikhel hospital after she complained of breathing difficulties. Her throat swab was collected and sent to NPHL for PCR test, Teku which came out positive on Saturday afternoon.
