Sri Lankan President arrives in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU, Aug 29: Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena has arrived in Kathmandu on Wednesday afternoon to participate in the fourth summit of the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC).

KATHMANDU, Aug 29: Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena has arrived in Kathmandu on Wednesday afternoon to participate in the fourth summit of the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC).



Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Ishwar Pokharel welcomed the Sri Lankan President at Tribhuvan International Airport.

A team of Nepal Army presented Guard of Honor to President Sirisena. 


Sri Lankan Ambassador to Nepal Swarna Perera, Nepali Ambassador to Sri Lanka Professor  Bishwambar Pyakurel, and Chief of Protocol Dipak Adhikari were present during the ceremony.
