SPP deal was not proposed by Oli-led govt: Ishwor Pokhrel

KATHMANDU, June 16: CPN-UML lawmaker Ishwor Pokhrel has said that the KP Oli-led government did not make any proposal to move ahead with the United States’ State Partnership Program (SPP).

KATHMANDU, June 16: CPN-UML lawmaker Ishwor Pokhrel has said that the KP Oli-led government did not make any proposal to move ahead with the United States’ State Partnership Program (SPP). 



Speaking in the parliament meeting on Thursday, lawmaker Pokhrel said that the news of the SPP agreement being signed during the KP Oli-led government was not true, remarking the coalition as "untrue and biased". He mentioned that Nepali Congress was leading the government when the SPP proposal was made to Nepal.

Claiming that the leaders of the coalition had made false allegations against the Oli-led government,  he challenged them to submit evidence. He said he will apologize for his irresponsible expression if such evidence can be produced.
