KATHMANDU, JAN 18: Lumbini Province’s newly-appointed Speaker Tularam Gharti and Deputy Speaker Manju Khan KC have taken the oath of office and secrecy.

Speaker Gharti was administered the oath by Province Chief Amik Sherchan, while Deputy Speaker Khan was administered the oath by Speaker Gharti.
Speaking to the media after the oath, Speaker Gharti said that he would work to strengthen the foundation laid by the previous provincial assembly. He said that he would also fulfill the responsibility of the leadership of the 87 members of the provincial assembly.
