There is heavy snow at the airport in Humla. The Simkot Airport has stated that the airport has started to clear the snow from Saturday as soon as the weather started improving. The only airport in the district has been closed for four days after two and a half feet of snow piled up in the area.


The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, Simkot branch office manager Mohan Giri said that the flights from Nepalgunj and Surkhet could not be operated for four days due to the snowfall. As many as 15 flights used to be operated from the airport daily.
