KATHMANDU, Jan 1: The home ministry has recommended for the promotion of six Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs) of Armed Police Force (APF) to the post of Deputy Inspector General (DIG).

SSPs Kamal Giri, Ganesh Bahadur Thadha Magar, Abhi Kumar Khatri, Kul Bahadur Nembang, Durga Parsad Bhattarai and Shambu Subedi have been recommended to be promoted to DIG.
A meeting of the Promotion Committee under the home ministry held on Friday made the decision to this effect.
