Police arrested Sindhupalchowk Secretary Bhuwan Singh Tamang, 44, of Melamchi municipality-9 on Tuesday at a time when he was extorting money from businessmen at Chardobato Chowk of Madhyapurthimi, Superintendent of Police at the Metropolitan Police Range, Bhaktapur, Sabin Pradhan.Further investigation into the case was underway, said police.
