NAWALPARASI EAST, Nov 6: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Dr Shashanka Koirala has pledged to take initiatives to resolve the issues caused by the local Kerunge River at Kawasoti municipality in Nawalparasi.

The river that connects wards no 4 and 5 of Kawasoti has been a sorrow for the Kawasoti folks as a result of the disasters each year. The locals are forced to deal with a flood each year from the river.
The leader inspected the river and made this commitment. He is contesting the House of Representatives election from Nawalpur constituency-1.
