KATHMANDU, Dec 2: Senior leader of Nepali Congress(NC) Ram Chandra Paudel has been arrested by police.
Police arrested Paudel from Buldi Khola bridge constructed recently by Byas Municipality. Paudel had reached there to inaugurate the motorable bridge amidst a special function organized by the party's local level committee. Acting President of NC District Committee, Tanahu Jit Prakash Ale is also arrested along with Paudel.

Paudel's aides said they were arrested at the instruction of the Chief District Officer(CDO) of Tanahu district after cadres of NC and the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) engaged in clashes during the inauguration ceremony.
