Second friendly football match between Nepal and India today

KATHMANDU, September 5: The second leg of the friendly matches between Nepal and India’s national men’s football team is scheduled for today at 5:30PM at Dashrath Stadium. Nepal drew 1-1 against India in the first friendly match which was held on Thursday.

KATHMANDU, September 5: The second leg of the friendly matches between Nepal and India’s national men’s football team is scheduled for today at 5:30PM at Dashrath Stadium. Nepal drew 1-1 against India in the first friendly match which was held on Thursday. 



Despite the lead gained through Anjan Bista’s goal in the first half, the match ended in a draw after India’s substitute player Aniruddha Thapa scored the equalizer in the 60th minute.

Furthermore, Nepal captain and goalkeeper Kiran Chemjong has become a fan’s favourite after his stunning performance during the match. He has surpassed the record of Nepal’s former captain Biraj Maharjan, who has 73 caps to his name. With his appearance against India on Thursday, Chemjong has set a record of highest caps earned by a Nepali player with 74 caps.
