BHARATPUR, Dec 10: Two people died when a jeep hit a motorcycle at the bridge of Chitai Khola in Madi Municipality-1 on Saturday evening.
The jeep (Lu.2 Cha. 2508) hit a motorcycle (Bagmati Province No. 06001P 4093) leading to the death of the motorcycle rider, Surya Adhikari, an accountant of Someshwar Secondary School, and pillion rider Beg Bahadur Khatri, a teacher of the same school. Another teacher Bhawani Prasad Poudel was injured, according to Chief of Madi Area Police Office, Deepak Rijal.
Teacher killed in road accident
Khatri died during treatment at Bagouda Hospital while Adhikari died at Bharatpur hospital this morning. The deceased Adhikari was a resident of Madi Municipality-1 and Khatri was from Sinta Rural Municipality-3 of Agrigaon in Surkhet.
Poudel, who was injured in the accident, is undergoing treatment at the old medical college in Bharatpur. His condition is reported to be stable
The jeep has been impounded while its driver has been taken into custody by the Madi Area Police Office.
