Sandeep nominated for Player of the Month

KATHMANDU, Oct 7: Nepal's young leg-spinner, Sandeep Lamichhane has been shortlisted for the International Cricket Council's (ICC) Player of the Month nomination for September.

KATHMANDU, Oct 7: Nepal's young leg-spinner, Sandeep Lamichhane has been shortlisted for the International Cricket Council's (ICC) Player of the Month nomination for September.



Sandeep had an excellent performance in the tri-nation series in Oman. In the series involving Oman, the USA and Nepal, Sandeep had an impressive performance in four games. Sandeep took 18 wickets in six games, giving him a bowling economy of 7.38.

Along with Sandeep, Bangladesh spinner Nasum Ahmed and American Jaskaran Malhotra have also been nominated for Player of the Month for September. Jaskaran, hit six sixes in the same over against Papua New Guinea, while Ahmed had the best performance in favor of the team in the ODI series against New Zealand.
