KATHMANDU, April 26: Samriddha Gorillas has advanced into the women’s final in the ongoing first Manmohan Memorial Open Basketball Tournament on Wednesday.

Gorillas beat the departmental team Tribhuvan Army Club 43-19 in the second semifinal match to book a final clash with Budhanilkantha, who defeated Saipal Academy 55-51 on Tuesday. Luniva Singh scored the highest 15 for Gorillas. Gorillas won the first three quarters 11-4, 18-8, 12-4, but suffered a 2-3 defeat in the fourth. In men’s category, Army ‘A’ will face Budhanilkantha in the final. The final matches will be played on Thursday.
