KATHMANDU, Sept 16: The Samajwadi Party Nepal, which is a coalition partner in the government led by the Nepal Communist Party, has decided not to participate in Constitution Day which is being celebrated on September 20 this year.

It has however made up its mind not to protest the Day. A meeting of the party's central executive committee on Monday decided in this regard.
"Party will not participate in any program on the occasion," read the statement issued by Prashant Singh, chief of the party's publicity department. Instead, the party is scheduled to organise interaction programs on 'the necessity to amend the constitution' in the capitals of all seven provinces on the Day, it added
