RSP to hold party’s convention within a year

KATHMANDU, June 22: Rabi Lamichhane, chairman of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), has said that the party’s convention will be held within a year.

Speaking at a press conference held at the new party office on Thursday on the occasion of the founding day of the party, he said that he would be active in law-making while focusing on the happiness and sorrows of the citizens.

He also said that all political parties should be united for nationalism and geographical integrity and that the government should take a position through diplomatic notes when cultural maps and border issues arise.

Lamichhane said the party is clear that those who are eligible for citizenship should not be deprived of citizenship. However, he was of the opinion that the naturalization of citizenship upon marriage should be discussed.
