Arun Thapa’s 20th Memorial Day has been observed in Bhaktapur with a musical event on Saturday.

‘Subharambha-The Musical Journey’, ‘Bhaktapur Musical Society’ and ‘Binita Kala Pratisthan’jointly organized the musical event where numerous singers performed various songs of late Thapa.
Amid the program, Nagendra Thapa, lyricist remembered the singer Thapa that he had a soulful voice which carried different identity among his contemporary artists. Likewise, another lyricist Chetan Karki said that his magical voice made him immortal.
Meanwhile, lyricist Bhusan Kharel was conferred with ‘Arun Thapa Memorial Award 2076’ whereas singer Ayush KC received ‘Sushil Chalise Music Award’.
