RASUWA, July 6: The Rasuwagadhi border point which remained shut since February 29 earlier this year in the wake of the novel coronavirus outbreak has resumed operation from Monday.
Chief Customs Officer at the Rasuwagadhi Customs Office, Punya Bikram Khadaka told Republica Online that a total of four Chinese vehicles carried readymade and electronic goods. Chinese vehicles carry goods and unload them on the other end of Miteri Bridge.

Arrangements have been made to store the Chinese goods in two Nepali containers. Nepal has sent 15 drivers and 16 other workers there to carry the goods to Nepal.
Both sides have paid due attention to ensuring safety against COVID-19. The laborers unloading the cargo vehicles wear personal protective equipment (PPE). All the workers and drivers have to go through medical tests on a daily basis.
Meanwhile, the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) and Chamber of Commerce, Rasuwa Chapter have been facilitating the management of goods supplies.
