KATHMANDU, Sept 8: A group of protestors organized a sit-in at Maitighar, Kathmandu, on Friday. On the 85th day of their protests, they staged a symbolic demonstration by shaving their heads demanding justice for Janakapur’s Aarti Shah who was said to be murdered by her in-laws.
Shah’s maternal family members assert that the police have declined to press charges against the accused. Over the course of the last 85 days, the family has been organizing a sit-in protest, setting up a temporary camp at Maitighar.
