TEHRATHUM, Dec 15: Property worth Rs 500,000 was destroyed as fire reduced two houses to cinder at Hile of Chuhandanda in Atharai rural municipality in the district on Friday.
The fire which started from a stack of hay had spread to two houses belonging to Ram Bahadur
Khapung and his mother, said Krishna Baskota, a local.

According to Khapung, all his belongings including clothes, grains were destroyed in the fire.
Khapung’s six family members are now taking shelter in their neighbour’s house.
