KATHMANDU, Oct 29: The pilot of the Buddha Air flight which was diverted from Biratnagar to Kathmandu on September 27 has been found guilty.
A probe committee formed by the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) on Thursday held Captain Angelu Sherpa responsible for the incident.

The report of the probe committee states that Pilot Sherpa did not look at the checklist at that time and had to return to Kathmandu for emergency landing. The investigation committee has also recommended to suspend the pilot for three months.
CAAN has already written to the Security Management Branch to implement the report of the investigation committee.
