KATHMANDU, August 21: Prime Minister and President of Nepali Congress (NC) Sher Bahadur Deuba has expressed shock over the news of the death of party's central member and member of parliament Pradip Giri.
"I am very shocked by the news of the death of my friend Pradip Giri ji, the leader of the Nepali Congress and socialist thinker of Nepali politics," Prime Minister Deuba said in a tweet last night. He said that with the death of leader Giri, Nepal has lost a true and good leader.

Meanwhile, the NC Parliamentary Party has expressed profound sorrow over the demise of its member Giri. NC Parliamentary Party Whip Min Bahadur Bishwakarma in a statement extended heartfelt condolences and wished for the eternal peace of the departed soul.
Likewise, the NC party has also expressed grief over the death of party leader and member of the House of Representatives Giri.
Socialist thinker Giri, who was born in Siraha in 2004 BS, became active in Congress politics after the political change of 2021 BS.
