Prez  inaugurates 2562nd Buddha Jayanti (photo feature)

LUMBINI, April 30: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has inaugurated a program on the occasion of the 2562nd Buddha Jayanti extending  best wishes to all those who believe in the message of peace, non-violence, harmony and co-existence of Gautam Buddha including to the Buddhist community.

 LUMBINI, April 30: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has inaugurated a program organized on the occasion of the 2562nd Buddha Jayanti in Lumbini, the birth place of Buddha, on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, President Bhandari said, “If we internalize the Buddhist philosophy, internal peace and fraternity are unavoidable. It will also facilitate unity, tolerance and goodwill among those orientated toward social development and lasting peace.”


Meanwhile, she extended best wishes to all those who believe in the message of peace, non-violence, harmony and co-existence of Gautam Buddha including to the Buddhist community.
