KATHMANDU, Aug 8: The current cabinet has undergone a ministerial hierarchy reshuffle. President Ram Chandra Paudel has reshuffled the present cabinet based on the recommendation of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

Although the positions of the Deputy Prime Minister and other ministers remain as usual, the two ministers representing the Nepali Congress (NC) have been reshuffled. Badri Pandey, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, who is also Joint General Secretary of the NC, has been promoted to the 14th position.
Likewise, Pradip Paudel, Minister for Health and Population, who was previously in the 14th position, has now been demoted to the 16th position. Paudel is also an NC central committee member.
