President is being seen as traitor for delaying ordinance: Om Prakash Aryal

KATHMANDU, Dec 28: Advocate Om Prakash Aryal has accused President Bidhya Devi Bhandari of delaying the authentication of the National Assembly ordinance.

KATHMANDU, Dec 28: Advocate Om Prakash Aryal has accused President Bidhya Devi Bhandari of delaying the authentication of the National Assembly ordinance.



Speaking with Shree Ram Paudel in the regular program Nagarik Manch of Radio Nagarik, Aryal stressed that the President does not have any constitutional right to hold the ordinance recommended by the cabinet.

He named the delay as unconstitutional and termed the President a traitor. He said that the role of the President is ceremonial and is the guardian of the constitution. Stating that the President is in dilemma as she listened to several people, Aryal claimed that she could not justify her position and is lacking working capacity.
