Preparation to give monthly allowance to cancer patients

JANAKPUR, Jan 8: Chief Minister of Province No 2 Lal Babu Raut has said that the provincial government is preparing to provide a monthly allowance to cancer patients.

Inaugurating the 31st Central Assembly of the Nepal Cancer Prevention Association at Lahan in Siraha on Friday, Chief Minister Raut said that the provincial government is preparing to provide monthly allowance to help cancer patients by enacting a new law. "The cancer patients are already getting Rs 100,000 as relief for their treatment," said Chief Minister Raut. He expressed the commitment to provide necessary assistance to the cancer hospital to be set up in Lahan.


Stating that the provincial government has set up Madhesh Institute of Health Sciences to improve the health condition of citizens, he expressed confidence that the provincial public health laboratory set up by the government would be a model for the whole country.
