BARDIYA, July 9: A policeman was injured when he was getting engaged to control a massive fire that broke out at Geruwa rural Municipality ward office in Bardiya on Tuesday.
The police officer has been identified as Yam Bahadur Malla of Area Police Office at Patabhar. The officers reached there after a group of cadres of the outlawed Chand-led group had set fire on the ward office earlier today.

Police officer Malla was rushed to Nepalgunj-based Teaching Hospital for treatment. He will be airlifted to Kathmandu for further treatment soon, according to police. The massive fire destroyed has all official documents causing damage to the physical infrastructures.
