LAMJUNG, June 1: Police have arrested one person who was absconding from Lamjung jail.
The arrested person has been identified as Binod BK, 27, a resident of Lamjung Madhya Nepal Municipality-4, Duipiple. According to police sources, the police team deployed from the District Police Office, Lamjung, managed to arrest him from Chisapani forest of Besishahar municipality within nine hours.

Two prisoners had managed to escape by climbing over the wall of the prisoner accommodation on the north-western side of the prison on Thursday at 1:30 am. However, another fugitive Chandra Bahadur Gurung of Chumnubri Rural Municipality-3 is still absconding.
Police said they have intensified the search to nab him.
Chief of the District Prison Office, Kamalpati Adhikari, said both of them managed to escape during the duty change period of police personnel on duty.
BK was jailed on charges of extortion and robbery, while Gurung was serving a prison term in a fraud case.
