Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, who was all set to address the House meeting on Tuesday and announce his resignation from the same House rostrum, was on the same plan for Wednesday. However, he couldn't address the parliament as the UML decided to protest against the government decision to increase the number of local units and obstruct the House meeting.

As leaders from ruling and opposition could not develop a consensus on resuming House meeting despite holding several rounds of talks, Speaker Onsari Gharti postponed the Parliament meeting scheduled for 11am Wednesday by publishing a notice until 4pm Thursday.
