PM Deuba urges people to celebrate Teej by following safety protocols

KATHMANDU, Sept 9: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has urged the people to celebrate the Haritalika Teej festival by following the health and safety protocols. Extending his greetings for the festival, PM Deuba requested everyone to celebrate the festival within the boundaries of their safety without large gatherings for the sake of keeping the tradition alive just.

KATHMANDU, Sept 9: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has urged the people to celebrate the Haritalika Teej festival by following the health and safety protocols. Extending his greetings for the festival, PM Deuba requested everyone to celebrate the festival within the boundaries of their safety without large gatherings for the sake of keeping the tradition alive just. 



Furthermore, he said Teej is a festival of social harmony and wished the people to celebrate the day with an aim to end gender, class and ethnic discrimination and inequality in Nepal, bringing social harmony and a prosperous society.

Hartalika Teej is being celebrated across the country today. Women are given a public holiday on the occasion.
