PM Deuba to visit disaster-hit areas today

KATHMANDU, Oct 21: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba is scheduled to visit the landslide and flood-ravaged areas of Sudurpaschim Province on Thursday to take stock of the situation there.

KATHMANDU, Oct 21: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba is scheduled to visit the landslide and flood-ravaged areas of Sudurpaschim Province on Thursday to take stock of the situation there. 



According to his secretariat, PM Deuba is set to visit disaster-affected Surkhet, Baitadi, Doti, Bajhang, Dadeldhura, Kanchanpur, and Kailali districts.

The PM-led visiting team comprises Finance Minister Janardan Sharma, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Prem Bahadur Ale, Nepali Congress (NC) central members, and former ministers NP Saud, Ramesh Lekhak, and Bir Bahadur Balayar, among others. 


The PM-led team is scheduled to return to Kathmandu on Friday after inspecting the disaster-hit areas. The incessant rain that occurred for the past couple of days adversely affected normal life in different parts of the country, including various districts in the Sudurpaschim Province.
