PHOTOS: National Census kicks off

KATHMANDU, Nov 11: The ‘National Census 2021’ formally kicked off on Thursday.



A total of 44,000 enumerators have been deployed to collect the data from across the country. The enumerators will go door to door with 80 questions to collect the data.

According to the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Data on social, economic, educational, health and community development at local units will be collected by the enumerators.


“The questionnaire also covers disability, hemophilia, autism, mother tongue, religion, immigration, and foreign employment,” CBS stated.


Census offices have been set up in all seven provinces and all 77 districts.


In the pictures below, the enumerators deployed by CBS are seen collecting family data in Bode and Tesratar, Madhyapur Thimi Municipality of Bhaktapur.
