During the debate, they claimed that as Dahal had personally taken responsibility for 5000 murders, they had demanded an interim order to arrest and investigate him. After the initial debate, it is said that the bench of Justice Khatiwada is preparing to issue the necessary order today.

Two writ petitions were registered against PM Dahal based on his speech at the open air theater in Kathmandu on January 15, 2020. At that time, Dahal had said that he would take responsibility for the 5,000 of the nearly 17,000 people killed during the Maoist people’s war.

It is mentioned in the writ petition that it is ironic that Dahal took responsibility for the murder of so many people.
