PHIDIM, July 19: A man died and two others sustained injuries in a khukuri attack at Fhidim Municipality-2, Odin of the district.
The deceased is Devraj Ewa, 49, of the same locality.
According to police, Ewa, who was seriously injured after being hit by a khukuri by Manoj Tumbapo, 19, over a dispute, died while being taken for treatment.
His daughter, Sabitra and son, Aayendra, were injured in the attack and are receiving treatment at the Dharan-based BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences.
Tumbapo, who was on the run after the attack, was arrested from Ewa VDC of Terhathum.
