GALKOT, July 29: A 34-year-old youth succumbed to hornet sting at Kushma Municipality-1 in Parbat district today.

According to the District Police Office, Parbat, the deceased has been identified as Shreeram Pariyar. Pariyar, who was seriously injured due to hornet bite, died in the course of treatment at Dhaulagiri Hospital, said DSP Indra Bahadur Rana.
The incident took place when Pariyar went to a nearby forest to burn down a hornet hive. He was rendered critically injured when a large number of aggressive hornets stung him.
