NUWAKOT, July 24: One person died when a house collapsed following incessant rainfall in Nuwakot district.

The deceased has been identified as Akkal Bahadur Tamang, 68, of Belkot Gadhi Municipality-8 who died on the spot as his two-story house collapsed, according to the Nuwakot Police chief Abi Narayan Kafle.
Similarly, a rain-triggered landslide buried five other houses at Dui Pipal, Majhgaun of Belkot Gadhi-5. Some livestock were also buried in the landslide debris that fell from some 500 meters above the settlement. However, no human loss has been reported, said Kafle.
