KATHMANDU, Sept 22: Chairman of CPN-UML, KP Sharma Oli has expressed his anger saying that Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota of the House of Representatives kept silent on an issue as important as impeachment against the suspended Chief Justice Cholendra SJB Rana for six months.
Addressing a party entry program held at the party office in Chyasal on Thursday, Oli said that the speaker has no right to take away the rights of parliament.

Oli said, “Is it possible to remain silent for six months on matters like impeachment? Nobody acted upon the impeachment motion registered on February 13. The Speaker has no right to arbitrarily take away the power of parliament. But he did.”
Similarly, he mentioned that while the charges against Chief Justice are not even proved, misusing the state’s power to put him under house arrest is the height of state terror. “This government does not think with its brains but just with muscle power,” he said.
