KATHMANDU, Sept 29: The Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) has unveiled its commitment to environmental sustainability by exclusively opting for electric vehicles in all future vehicle purchases. This green initiative was revealed in the board's budget announcement, coming two months into the current fiscal year.
The budget document clearly stipulates, "Electric vehicles will be the sole choice for daily commuting purposes when procuring new vehicles." This announcement aligns with the broader governmental policy in Nepal, which has refrained from acquiring new vehicles this year to curtail public expenditure.
