ILAM, June 19: CPN (UML) senior leader and former Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal has said that no force can obstruct the second phase of the local level polls scheduled for June 28.

Talking to media persons in Ilam district headquarters this morning, Khanal said that there was no reason to postpone the local level elections in the Province No. 2 and added that the polls were postponed due to the loose stands of the government. "The government showed its meekness before two-four leaders of Madhes. There was no reason to postpone the polls," Khanal said. The UML leader also demanded to immediately conduct the third phase of the local level polls in the Province No. 2.

On the occasion, Khanal claimed that none can stop the UML from emerging the first political force in the country.

The UML will take the country's leadership after holding all three-layer of polls and the country would be advanced towards economic development and prosperity, he added. RSS
