NNIPA's financial support to ailing boxer Indra

KATHMANDU, July 17: Nepal National and International Players Association (NNIPA) on Sunday provided Rs 50,000 to boxer Indra Bahadur Rana Magar, who is currently being treated for cancer at Nepal Cancer Hospital and Research Center at Harisiddhi in Lalitpur.

KATHMANDU, July 17: Nepal National and International Players Association (NNIPA) on Sunday provided Rs 50,000 to boxer Indra Bahadur Rana Magar, who is currently being treated for cancer at Nepal Cancer Hospital and Research Center at Harisiddhi in Lalitpur.

NNIPA President Deepak Bista handed over a cheque of Rs 50,000 to Indra. The amount was donated to Indra from NNIPA's players' welfare fund. After handing over the cheque, Bista said that NNIPA will take initiatives to collect funds for boxer Indra's treatment.


Meanwhile, Indra said that he wanted to do something for the nation. His wife, Dil Kumari Thapa, informed that nearly Rs 1 million was spent on Indra's treatment within a year.
