Nine Nepali ambassadors contribute a month salary to govt's COVID-19 fund

KATHMANDU, April 10: Nine Nepali ambassadors on Friday decided to contribute their one month's salary to COVID-19 fund established by the government to prevent and contain the novel coronavirus.

KATHMANDU, April 10: Nine Nepali ambassadors on Friday decided to contribute their one month's salary to COVID-19 fund established by the government to prevent and contain the novel coronavirus.

Ambassador of Nepal to Denmark Yuba Nath Lamshal told Republica Online by phone that the decision was made during a video conference among the nine Nepali diplomats based in Europe and Russia today.


Nepali envoys Ramesh Khanal (Germany), Yuba Nath Lamsal (Denmark) Lok Bahadur Thapa (Belgium), Prakash Kumar Suvedi (Austria), Dipak Adhikari (France), Mani Prasad Bhattarai (Switzerland), Durga Bahadur Subedi (United Kingdom), Rishi Ghimire (Russia) and Dawa Phuti Sherpa (Spain) announced their support to the government fund. "We have informed about it to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs," Lamshal told.
