NIC ASIA, WorldRemit and Orbit Remit join hands to ease remittance services amid lockdown

KATHMANDU, April 8: The NIC ASIA Bank, WorldRemit and Orbit Remit have come together to facilitate the customers to send and receive money from more than 50 countries through online amid the lockdown imposed by Nepal government to stem the transmission of Coronavirus.

KATHMANDU, April 8: The NIC ASIA Bank, WorldRemit and Orbit Remit have come together to facilitate the customers to send and receive money from more than 50 countries through online amid the lockdown imposed by Nepal government to stem the transmission of coronavirus.



The three organizations agreed to facilitate the migrant Nepali workers stranded across the world who have been unable to send and receive money to and from their family due to lockdown amid coronavirus outbreak.

With this new agreement, the remittance sender and receiver now do not require to visit physical branches to make the transactions since it can be done online. This facility is available with any banking service.


WorldRemit and Orbit Remit have suggested customers to login to https://www.worldremit.com/en/Nepal and https://www.worldremit.com/en/Nepal respectively to enjoy the service.


NIC ASIA has been providing 24 hours banking service to its customers across the country setting up ‘Customer help desk’ in all seven provinces amid this extraordinary periods.
