Newly-elected Madhesh provincial assembly members to take oath on Friday

KATHMANDU, Dec 26: In Madhesh Province, the newly-elected members of the provincial assembly will take the oath of office and secrecy on Friday.

KATHMANDU, Dec 26: In Madhesh Province, the newly-elected members of the provincial assembly will take the oath of office and secrecy on Friday.



Ranjit Kumar Yadav, secretary of the Province Assembly Secretariat, said that the time for swearing-in was fixed at 2:00 PM on the 30th of December, Friday, by an all-party meeting held on Monday.

According to Article 182 (5) of the Constitution of Nepal, Section 75 of the Provincial Assembly Member Election Act, 2074, the senior-most member of the provincial assembly, Govinda Bahadur Neupane, will be sworn in by the Provincial Chief. Neupane will then administer the oath to the other members of the provincial assembly


According to the Province Assembly Secretariat, members who want to take the oath in their own mother tongue should inform the Province Assembly Secretariat three days before the day of taking the oath.
