KATHMANDU, Jan 18: Nepali Congress (NC) MP Ishwari Neupane has been nominated for the post of Speaker. On Wednesday, she registered his nomination for the Speaker at the Federal Parliament Secretariat.

NC MP Bishwa Prakash Sharma has proposed her candidacy while Prakash Jwala of CPN (Unified Socialist) has seconded it.
Neupane is supported by the Unified Socialist Party, the Janata Samajwadi Party and Loktantrik Samajwadi Party.
