KATHMANDU, Feb 18: The Samajwadi Morcha (Socialist Front), a coalition of five left-leaning political parties, has named Netra Bikram Chand as the coordinator of the Front.
The decision was taken during a meeting of the Front earlier this morning.

Leaders representing the Maoist Center, Janata Samajwadi Party, Unified Socialist, and the Nepal Communist Party led by Netra Bikram Chand were in attendance.
Previously, the member parties had agreed to take terms to lead the Front.
The Front was previously led by Prime Minister and Chairman of CPN (Maoist Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Chairman of CPN (Unified Socialist) Madhav Kumar Nepal.
