NEPSE Week: trade of above 7 billion

KATHMANDU, June 25: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index increased by 44 points to reach 666.99 this week. More than 11 million units of shares worth Rs. 7.82 billion of 147 listed companies were traded, according to NEPSE.

KATHMANDU, June 25: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index increased by 44 points to reach 666.99 this week. More than 11 million units of shares worth Rs. 7.82 billion of 147 listed companies were traded, according to NEPSE. 





Though the NEPSE index showed an increment, the trade however decreased by 15.76 per cent in compared to the previous week. Last week, 15.2 million units of shares worth Rs. 9.3 billion of 149 companies had been traded.

The largest trade transaction this week sector-wise was of the insurance sector, spurred by a rush arrival of investors in this sector. The insurance sector saw a rise by 319 points followed by the hydropower sector by 186 points. RSS
