Nepal women win silver in volleyball

KATHMANDU, Dec 3: Nepal national women's volleyball team has lost the gold medal to India in competitive sets of 3-2 in the final clash played on Tuesday.

KATHMANDU, Dec 3: Nepal national women's volleyball team has lost the gold medal to India in competitive sets of 3-2 in the final clash played on Tuesday. 



In the match played in presence of a large number Nepali fans at the National Sports Council's covered hall in Kathmandu, Nepal lost its first set 17-25. However, Nepali ladies made a brilliant comeback and won two back-to-back sets 25-23 and 25-21.

India, however, denied Nepal's dominance and clinched the fourth set 25-20. The last set was totally dominated by India as it restricted Nepal in just 6 points. 


Vice-president Nanda Bahadur Pun also reached the venue to observe the match and encourage Nepali players.
